Fished the north dike at the mouth of the harbor with the north winds blowing hard, creating small waves and some mudlines. I casted my storm thunderstick toward the winds and reeled it in over and over thinking the walleyes would be laying there toward the north winds waiting for food to come to their mouths...
Whammo bingo I was right, I caught three walleyes in one hour fourtyfive minutes between 17 inches to 22 inches. All healthy and stocky. It sure made my day even though I fished in isolation as I noticed five people on the south dike didn't brave the cold north winds and drove home. Heh heh, had the place to myself practically. I had fun thinking how a walleye would think during situations such as today. They were out just beyond the small waves breaking along the dikes.
