Monday I tried for the walleye at Lincoln Beach. I took out my electric motor powered pontoon instead of my boat. I fished from about 1 pm to about six pm and didn't get a bite. I used jigs, tipped and untipped, and I trolled Thin Fins, Rapalas, and Baby Thundersticks. I saw about twenty-five wading fisherman all fishing in the same place (about 2 or 3 miles west of the marina) and about three or four boats in the same vacinity. But I never saw a person catch a fish. Yet I understand that a few days before everyone was catching fish. Some days are like that!

It is interesting to see how the cold front a few days ago can affect walleye fishing. Probably drove them deeper near bird island, but I imagine that today or at dusk, those eyes would be about and prowling after three days of good weather.

By the way, aren't you related to BryanE? (Formerly of Roosevelt and current Pleasant Grove resident.)

Paul,

Bryan and I are related. I have enjoyed reading your posts. We share a common love for walleye.

Lloyd,

I knew that you guys are related because I know Bryan quite well, not only is he a qualified Orvis fishing guide from some outfitter near Roosevelt, he comes from a family lineage of college graduates with Ph.d's with your last name and you being a professor, it makes a lot of sense to put you and Bryan together. Ha ha.

Not only do I know him very well, and I should! That is be because I was his mission companion out of Seattle, Washington for a year.[shocked][cool]

Well it sure is nice to know you on this site. I think I will give him a call in a couple minutes.

I fished from the boat ramp west to about 3 or 4 miles. There were people everywhere.
