I noticed Kidney and Sunset Ponds listed for Salt Lake County in the Proclamation wondering if anyone knows the location? Also are they worth going to?

If you go to the DWR web page then go to commuity fishing, it will give you the address.

Kidney Pond is a stone's throw away from Midas Pond....seriously...its only about 50 feet away.

Thanks a bunch I thought that might be the case. I've been by there a couple of times but never wet a hook there. I'll be moving about a mile from those two ponds in the Jordan river bottoms at 11200 & 800 West. I always thought the bigger taller pond looked good mainly because of some of the vegetation reeds etc on the shore.

just got back from there about 20min ago there was a guy fishing the bigger pond he had acouple of bites but no fish on. I was there with my son and fished the lower smaller pond cought 2 planter rainbow in about 15min then the rain came, the upper pond has bigger fish but they are harder to catch the lower pond is more for kids to fish, my son is 3 and had a blast catching the 2 fish. both ponds get busy on the weekends so during the day is best.
also make sure you have your licence as south jordan police come in there and check all the time(I think they are just jelous that you are there fishing and they are working)[Smile]

went to Kidney yesterday and fished from 9:30a-11:30a and didnt get a bite. This is an excellent pond to fish once it has been stocked. Will probably go back on Monday and maybe Thursday to try again and see if it has been stocked and i will let you know.
