is there any reports of Flaming Gorge now that most of the ice is off? i leave on an LDS mission next wednesday and am lookin to go to the Gorge. hopin to find some spawning rainbows. i really want to have one last good trip

Good luck on your mission. Hope you go somewhere with good fishing. All the reports I hear from the Gorge are bad. Will it stop me...no! I'd try Sheep Creek Bay or Hideout Canyon for Bows this time of year. Fish near the inlet at Sheep Creek and you should get some. Throw minnow imitating Rapalas. Nice steady slow retrieve. Good Luck

Don't despair too much, some missions will let you fish a little on P-days. I was in England and got to go fishing three or four times. They do what is called Course Fishing over there. It wasn't too exciting for perch that are smaller than the minnows we use for bait but at least I got to go fishing.
Have fun and enjoy every minute. It'll be over before you know it and we'll leave some slimy friends for you in the Gorge for when you get back.

My brother went to Alaska on his mission and was able to go fishing several times on his P-Days along the Kenai and Russion Rivers. He caught a lot of Reds and Silvers.
I went to Arkansas and was able fish quit a few times on P-Days for some Bucket Mouths.

A friend of mine took four macks in 3 hours last saturday in Jarvies. He was flatlining rapalas. He said he lost three others. His biggest was 22.
