I have heard a rumor that even with a state park annual pass they are charging to launch your boat.Does any body know about this?[unsure]

I can tell you the park service tried to sell me a year pass today, instead of the entrance fee. So I would say no however I did not ask. This was at Jordanelle.

thanks for the reply.I bought the $35 pass(senior)this year with the understanding that covered my boat launch, etc.

I have used my pass 4 times this year to cross the causeway at Antelope Island. I ride my bike out there a lot. I've not been charged once. I just flash my pass and ride on through. For what it's worth.

The pass is the only way to fly! I have had one 3 years running now. It allows entry into the state parks day use area for 1 year from date of purchase.
I've used it at Rockport 4 times and Jordenell 2 times this year. It allows you and up to 7 guestss in the same vehicle entry into most state parks. A few have a surcharge july and august, i think it's $2 at Jordenelle. Like anybody would want to go there, then. I'll probably use it 20 more times this year, some of it while I'm just traveling to stop for lunch or to use a rest room. The fish cleaning stations are nice too.
Yes it is well worth it. Once you have the pass you'll go to the parks more, It's nice to know there will be parking, a table, a grill and a restroom if you want to just zip up to Rockport, Deer Creek, jordenelle, east, Utah, Willard and Lost creek. to have supper in the cool of the mountains and fish some.
Did I mention the Launch ramps, If the park is on a lake there is a ramp, usally a nice one.

Here is a good site to review to give you the data you are requesting.
http://www.stateparks.utah.gov/press/default.php?DateCode=53. For those that just want the answer "The $70 Annual Pass waives day-use fees into most state parks. Passes do not discount overnight camping or special use fees, including golf".
