Metro area ice is, for the most part, a thing of the past. There's some ice on larger lakes (Minnetonka, etc) but that's estimated to be gone by weeks end.
Most metro lakes are already open and ready for boats.

hey
i figured that those lakes would be open by now because of the water that flows through there, isnt like a chain.....or river?
i have fished the crow wing lakes, cant remember which ones, i think maybe 5th through 8. I was there a couple of summers ago. there is some good bass fishing there.
