The girlfriend and I are heading to Flaming Gorge on April 15-18th. Right now it is just the 2 of us going, but i am throwing a invite for one or two more people that would like to do some mack fishing with us. We definitely have room in the boat for 1 or 2. If you can only come up for a couple of days or even a day that is fine. Right now we are tentatively staying at Lucerne valley campground and just camping out of a tent.

Polo just heard from a friend who was at the GOrge this past weekend. His brother in law caught a 44.5lb mack. Wow! I'm trying to get a picture from him so I can post it.

Man, that is why I am going out there!!! I would keep that 44 lb fish on the down low though, IFG and BLM was supposed to go out there last weekend, but decided to post pone there trip due to weather!!!

I am supposed to be up there on the 18th. I am trying to get my boat ready for the trip. Where do you think you'll be fishing and what boat should I look for? If I can get the boat ready and make the trip, I'll have the radio on channel 12. I was thinking of heading up to jarvies or hideout, but would head over to Linwood if that's where you'll be. I need to go out with someone that knows that lake better than me so I can get some education.

I'd love to but I'm going to the carp fest this weekend and next weekend is tied up with the yard sale I raising funds for my fishing expeditions for the summer (just kidding). I'll take a rain check, the family goes out of town on the 27th for 3 weeks then its fishing fun for the next 3 weeks.

Hey polo, this is the time of year that I fish the gorge. One hint, take rain gear. Dont go without it. Seriously! It may be nice down here, but up there 75% of the time we get rained on at this time of year.
Too bad you arent going up this week. I have a crew going up for four days, BLM and IFG have a crew going up, skeeter2 is going up with his crew. Its not planned, just happens we are all going up at the same time.
I wont be there the weekend you are, but the one after that, we will be back up there again.
That rain can make it terrible if you arent prepared. Wet while fishing, and wet camping gear can suck bad. Last year we got lucky I dont remember it raining on us except at night, but theres been years where every trip up there it rained most of the days.

Yeah, I am majorly disappointed that i am not going this week. I was trying to play my boss to be a little lienant on holding me to my vacation requests for work. SO i set it for the 15 and 16th. HE is a right now i need to know kinda guy. But I heard rumor the other day his days are numbered as my boss. I couldnt be lucky enough. Well off my soap box.
I was planning on going with IFG and BLM, but my boss put the breaks on that on not letting me change vacation time. But I am looking forward to a big report on how you guys do!!! If I get a little bit of money I might head back out there on the 21st if some guys are going. I got "the frustration" the boat all ready and up and running for the year!!! YEAH!!!![cool]
