Welcome aboard, what's your favorite type of fishing?

Spend most of my time trolling for trout. Love all types of fishing however. Spent ome time this past winter surf fishing in San Diego area. Not much better than waking up in the morning grabbing a pole and walking the beach.

[cool]Welcome aboard!! There was a post last week from Jordanelle. I believe they were fishing toward the rockcliff arm and the were hitting just about anything they threw at them.

We trolled Jordanelle last weekend and had fair success for medium sized trout. We were trolling anything that looked like a baby fish. We had a broken back rapalla, a diving chub, and a rainbow pattern fish. I'm new to trolling so I don't know all the exact names of the imitations we were using. We tried some things on downriggers but only had one hit on a downrigger and it was only down about 8 feet. We saw lots of fish deep on the finder but none of them would touch anything we brought their way. Everything we caught was up top. We tried some woolly buggers without any luck. We caught the most fish trolling by the dam. We did go down the channel towards rock cliffs but didn't get in too far. There are a lot of fish deep in the channel but we didn't even get a bite out of it.

Our main problem is that none of us had fished Jordanelle much so we didn't know much about it either. I hope you do good and am interested in a report on your trip.
