Fished for crappie from 7:30 till 9:00 am with no luck. Started on the north side about 1/4 mile from the dam then worked my way around to the east trying several standard spots with no success. The weeds were in the wrong places to cast from the shore. When the reservoir fills up more the weeds will be covered and the fishing from shore should pick up. Next trip I will use my float tube and then I will be able to cast back toward the brush and retrieve without getting hung up in the weeds. Anyone else have better success? DKS
