went to lincoln beach yesterday got there about 2;30 in the afretnoon started fishing the spring for LMB hit one after about 30min's on a black spiner bait.. then not another hit!.. seen some guy's on the main part of the lake start hitting white bass so put the waders on and headed out to see if i could get into the whites as well.. and boy did i get into them!! started out with a yellow blue fox buck tail and hit 5 fish on 5 castes.. then lost it in the rocks so put a jig on and started right back up on the catching of white bass.. it did not seem to mater much the color of the jig..you just had to stay with the school..the catching was stedy for about 2 hrs then the wind started up and it was time to get out of the water or start surfing.. and i'm not to good at surfing!! tryed for some cats in the springs for about 1 hr but nota! so packed it up for the day..

Nice report! Are they charging any money to access the boat ramp and parking lot? How are you getting out to the springs. The last couple of years, I could drive through the parking lot and down onto the old lake bed.
Thanks again for the report!

well i went around the point and was fishing the L and you can still park your truck down there right by the water.. the boat ramp and parking is still free as fare as i could see.. they have a gate and some block in frount of the road that go's out on the north jety..but you can still drive out on the south jety..

Did you see anyone catching walleye? I guess the walleye spawn at Utah Lake is now over.

hey dude the L is around the point from the state park.. go past the park around the point and look down at the lake you will see 3 or 4 more springs going around the point.. the one that is the L you will know when you see it..the white bass are schooled up right now..so you have to find the schools and try and stay with it.. if you have fished the ocean and know what a breezer is..(it's a disturbance on the water caused by the fish swiming by the surfice) if the wind is blowing you will see a calm spot with what looks like rain drops landing in it..that is the bass picking flys off the water..if there is no wind you will see a spot that looks like a slite breeze is hitting the water but not moveing like a wind that again is the fish up by the surfice moveing around..find these spots and you will find the whites..
