I'm always looking for some out of the way (read quiet) places to fish. I noticed in the proclamation there is a place called Rainbow Reservior in Tooele County it lists it near Deseret Chemical Depot anyone heard of it or have any experience w/ it?

I dunno,

I'd be leery of handling much less eating anything out near Deseret Chemical! Fish probably look like the ones on the Simpsons. You know 3 eyes and glow in the dark! LOL!!!![cool]

Good old Blinky! Gosh I love the simpsons! I'd have to say the same exact thing about it. Its probly still better than the Jordan, though.

i went out a few weeks ago just as the ice was coming off. there were three boats on the water and at least 40 people on the banks.

Be careful if your going out that way. Especially through Grantsville. They love to give tickets and make the city a some money. As a matter of fact, they're so bad, I stopped going out there, because I refuse to give the city of Grantsville one red cent. Whether it be buying lures gas or whatever. The cops for the most part seem cool enough, but they do pull a lot of people over. The judge out there is completely retarded wench, who will get you for whatever she can. So just watch it out in the Tooele area, especially in the vicinity of Grantsville.

I worked at Tooele Army Depot in the early 90's just prior to closing down the maintenance operations. Rainbow resevoir at that time was a private res. for the military personnel. You could buy passes. Back then they planted some big boys in there but had some trouble with diease. They had to drain it a couple of times and line it with sand. I'm not sure but I think it was whirling disease that they were dealing with. Anyway I wonder if it is open to the public now. It is out next to the Deseret facilities.
