Hey there, You might want to try spinnerbaits, plastic worms like the senko, crankbaits, and jigs. You just have to go try and see what works[Smile].

Hello, and welcome to the boards. I noticed that you are young, and don't have access to alot of equipment. 2 things that would come in handy, and are real inexpensive are stick bobbers and small sinkers. I would suggest that you promise your parents that you will do a few extra chores around the house for a few stick bobbers and some splitshot sinkers.

Next, I would do an internet search on catching leeches. Leeches are a very productive way to catch fish. If you are afraid of handling leeches, I can assure you that alot of woman do it on a regular basis when it comes down to fishing. Hook a leach in the back, just about even with it's sucker, when fishing it under a bobber. If you cast it out, and the stick bobber lays flat, you either need more sinkers, or are on the bottom. Try moving the bobber towards the hook a few inches, and cast it out again. If it stands up. leave it sit there a bit, and if nothing happens, slowly pull it a few inches towards you. Keep repeating this, until you need to cast out again. If it doesn't work, try moving the bobber again. Cast near the stumps if possible, but don't get too close, or you;ll get the hook hung up.

Worms and nitecrawlers are also very good live bait. If the leeches don't work, try a worm. Hook it many times through the body, til it covers the hook. I like to make sure the point of the hook is always covered by the worm. Come to think about it, I would use the worms before I would try the leeches, as you may get some nice bluegills or sunfish.

Take care, and any questions you have will probably get a great answer with things to try out. Mostly, have fun fishing.
