Would Strawberry be safe for a boat this weekend or is there too much floating ice out there? I would like to go fishing there Saturday but don't want to damage my boat.
Thanks!

By Saturday I think the only ice that you could find on Strawberry would be ice that you haul out there yourself. There were some big boats cruising on Strawberry Saturday all the way from the Strawberry Bay Marina to Renegade. The only ice that I saw was in a small bay on the way to Renegade, and it was going fast, and one good wind and it would all be piled on the shoreline. As always, keep an eye open for possible obstacles floating in the water (however, not likely to be ice).

I just drove by there last night and there were a few spots along the shore with ice, but as long as the couple of cold nights this week we are suposed to have don't make a bunch of new ice it should be find by the weekend,

We went to the Berry on Saturday, the lake is completely ice free other than a little her and there, for the most part you would have no problems, the docks have not been put in the water as of yet, the marina said it would be a week or 2 before they drop them in. Fishing is great, hope you get a chance to get up there.

The dock right on the boat ramp is in at Renegade. However, the bathroom was still locked.
