Hey does anyone know how the fishing is at starvation. My uncle wants me to go fishing with him on thurs. and he wants to go to starvation, but I haven't heard any reports on how the fishing is. If not starvation does anyone know how any of the other Basin lakes are producing? Like pelican or possibly steineker. His buddy just got his boat ready to go so we have a boat. I just want to increase our chances as much as possible,

Jed,
This is a good time for brown's at Starvation. Troll some Rapala's or cranks, it's a no brainer. Nothing really hot out here right now. If you want to catch a bunch of really nice rainbows go to Red Fleet, it's been very hot fishing. Steinaker has been slow. You know you can still launch at Sandwash. Good numbers of fat bows and some big bass there.

Yes, the Sandwash in Upalco. There are nice largemouth bass up to about four pounds. They won't be there long though. Sandwash is scheduled for rotenone in september.

Finally got one report from Starvation since I couldn't get over there myself.
A group from RMA fished Pelican and Starvation. The report I received is copied from the email dated 4/25.

"We came up your way this week-end. We fished a RMA tourament at Pelican. The fishing was pretty good. There was also a couple of other touraments going on at the same time. Our boat caught 9 bass and 20 bluegill. Our boat took first place. I was excited ,it was my first tourament. The day before we fished Starvation in the afternoon. No walleye but i caught a 5 pound brown on a bottom bouncer in rabbit gulch. Well thanks again. I think the walleye at starvation should start anytime."
I know that it doesn't help much, but there is what I have so far.
I did pick up three good eating (15ish inch) Rainbow at Bullock the other night on a worm and shrimp salmon egg, under a bubble about 3 feet. Mindsoup picked up one on just a worm. Mindsoup is set on fishing there until the muskie turn on, so I humor her and let her throw whatever she wants all over the lake while I catch trout. Later this year I'll join her in the persuit, if she hasn't given up by then.
Good luck Jed! See you out here somewhere this year.[/size]
