It was interesting to go through the myrid adult fish species ranging from 4 to 8 inches, who inhabit even the smallest of streams, and make big brown trout very, very happy.

I'll bet there are a zillion of these little guys not even cataloged yet. Scuds and Madtom-like fishys that is. I can see it now... Scudus JapanRonicus or sum such!

Japan being such a segimented enviornment ecologically, every stream that exists has a sub-species of some of these smaller fish species. 47 such fish exist in the river I often fished ie the Sagamigawa.

Thanks but I cheated. I don't deserve any glory in figuring this one out. You erred by not copying and pasting the photo to the bigfish server. Instead you had a direct image link to the original website. Easily found that way. I would have not figured it out any other way.

I think I'll join in the game though. There's a lot of really interesting fish in the world. As soon as I find a picture of one certain fish that I'm deathly afraid of, I'll be sure to post it.

Mr. Integrety..... Fact is .. I looked at different fishy pictures and the cute little face of that guy didn't show up. I checked out the barbels and thought it might be not a scud or madtom but a barbel but NOT!

I had given up so for me it was no harm no foul!
