has anyone fished echo for cats? i gave it a shot last summer and i caught a few that were ok in size but i didnt catch very many. what my question is, is where do you guys fish for cats at echo? and what do you use? the ones i caught were on chub minnows, and i also caught 3 or 4 on jigs and cranks fishing for bass. the biggest one i have caught in there was on accident, it was on a crawdad colored lipless crank, fishing some rocks west of the boat ramp. any info will help, thanx in advance.

Hey UCM.

Yes Ive caught them. The really big ones 9 - 10 lb range I catch on shrimp. They seem to take forever to bite. And only after dark. Pull off the road where the pond is on the other side of the street. Then go out on the knob. Throw out as far as you can and be prepare to wait up to an hour for a bite. It is worth it if your into big cats. I have also caught some medium sized one by mistake on worms etc. But the big ones take some real patience.
