[cool]I fished Friday, 17 miles off Naples with Howard & Judy Thompson. Baiting with live shrimp, we caught and released a 31 inch little tunny, which spooled the line twice before we finally got it to the boat. In the midst of landing that little tunny, a flying fish, in a frenzy to get away from the bonito it thought was chasing it, slammed into the side of the boat, knocking himself out. We did our best to revive the little guy, and got a good look at this very interesting bird-like fish. We were broken off twice by big fish, and we also caught keeper mangrove snapper, large triggerfish, and a couple of 14 inch whitebone porgies.

Saturday, I fished 19 miles out New Pass in 51 feet with Harold & Rhonda Bolin. We caught nine mangrove snapper, triggerfish, porgies and a 14 inch porkfish. We released lots of gag grouper to 19 inches.

The big sheepshead have pretty much quit biting, although they were around in large numbers last month--Attached is a photo of one of the last ones we caught.
