[cool][blue]Hey, PB, thanks for the headsup, and thanks for dropping in. The more the merrier.[/blue]
[#0000ff]I was just starting to work with Bassin' West Magazine last year, to begin a float tubing section in each issue, when they put in some new people and turned everything upside down. I had several articles put together and submitted, but they were all scrapped when the new regime came in.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Float tubes and bassin' are natural go togethers. That is especially true on small lakes or on big lakes where boats can't reach some areas that tubes can. Even when we compete with boaters and bankers we can often score respectably if we know what we are doing and we take full advantage of the stealth mode.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]I wouldn't go to the trouble of typing out the whole article. But, if you have a scanner, and make a copy available through Private Message, that might generate some interest. I know I am always interested in new stuff on the sport.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Drop in anytime.[/#0000ff]

The article should be on the website in June. They wait until the next month to post the last issue's articles.

[cool][blue]NORTH DAKOTA? Isn't that where you have nine months of winter and three months of poor skating? Oh, I think that is your next door neighbor, Minnesota...by golly.[/blue]
[#0000ff]Hey guys, glad to have you drop in. I will try to get even. And thanks for the heads up on the month delay. I think I might like to archive that in the float tube memorabilia.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]How are the water temps coming up there, and when do the bass do their spring thing in ND? I live down in Phoenix and our prespawn starts in early February most years. It is done now and the post spawn topwater action is heating up. Water temps on the local lakes are from 70 to 75 degrees. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Within a month or so the combination of 85 degree surface temps and gazillions of boats and PWC drive the bass deep during the day. The only way to get them then is drop shotting after dark, in the quieter coves. and off main lake points.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]We have taken largies over 14 pounds so far this year around Phoenix. Not bad for northern strain. No Floridas for us. We did have some in Lake Pleasant but they never made it past 16 before dying out.[/#0000ff]

hey tubedude,
we have one lake here in ND that stays open all winter because of a powerplant and they spawn pretty early. they are already past the spawn but the other lakes are just getting ready to spawn but not quite yet, its been getting pretty warm here so hopefully soon they will start to spawn. I'm still getting to that scanner for that article but i will sure get it to you[
