Has anyone been there yet? Any good tips for someone who wants to try for bass from the shore.

I fished there a couple of weeks ago and caught a 19" small mouth. If you look back through the posts you will see the pics,

There are not a lot of bass in Sandwash. There are some and they're big. If you want to catch bass from shore right now go to Pelican. They're up in the reeds and going like gangbusters. You'll need waders though or the swimmers itch will get you good. The North side by the old submerged road has a solid bottom for wading. You can catch lots of bass easily right now.

I have never been to Big Sand Wash but I'm heading out thta way in a couple of weeks and figure i will give it a try. Does anyone have some good directions. Thanks.

just follow the road signs until you get to duchesne then you will see some signs for altamont. head for altamont, go through altamont and the main highway turns to the south after town, just stay on that road and it will take you right to the lake.
