well never made it to fish lake this weekend.. ran in to a problm with funds and the price of gas!! so we just packed up the alum boat and went up to E-lake insted of fish lake.. got there about 9:30 yesterday morning got every thing set up and was under way by 9:45.. i started out with a rainbow zipfish and my buddy started out with a spin-a-lure silver.. will after missing about 5 hit's on the zipfish i finly got one to the boat..it took about 1 hr to get the first one in but after that started hitting them stedy the rest of the day.. finly after i cought 3 fish on the zipfish my buddy decided to try something other that the spin-a-lure and put a red and silver with black spots flatfish on. then he started getting hit right away.. all together we cought about 22 to 25 fish for the 2 of us.. all the fish we got trooling were nice and fat not real long but look nice all the same.. most the fish we cought were down 3 colors and about 15 to 20 feet from the shour.. we tryed to do some drift jigging around 12:30 but the wind would not cooperate.. it keep blowing us ether into the shour to fast or change direction so fast that it would just blow us back into the middle of the lake so gave up on that and went back to trolling.. seen lot's of Elk and deer all around the lake even seen a lion laying down under a tree watching us for a min. then got up and headed over the hill.. tryed to get a pic but you cant see the lion in it.. sorry!! did get a pic of the mess of fish we took home tho 8 nice and fat cutt's and cutbows..

you know it is realy hard to tell how fast we were trolling.. i do not have my fish finder set up on the alum boat yet.. i have a fish finder that i use ice fishing that i'm going to set up some how on there but have not done it yet.. i can say this tho it was very hard to keep any set speed yesterday the wind was changing drections all day and we were getting gusts up to 30 to 40 mph at times.. some time it would stop the boat or even push it backwords.. other times it would spin us right around.. but we did do better at a slower speed when we could get close to the bank and hold the shoure line..

How was the boat ramp at E-lakes north end? Could one launch a larger aluminum boat (18' Lund fisherman)?

Is there enough water to keep the boat trailer up out of the soft stuff?

i wish that the water was up to the ramp!! but right now the north boat ramp is high and dry.. it's only about 1/2 mile from the water tho.. lol

but there is dirt roads that run into the lake (the old road that were there befoer the lake) and if you have a 4X4 and want to try it i think you could launch ok..with my big boat i have to get the frunt tires in the water to get the boat off and that would not be a good thing there at E-lake.. the mud is bad around the shoure there..
