Overall, the Henry's Fork Has Been Fishing very well, when weather conditions permit. Periods of rain and wind are making fishing difficult to forecast. Anglers who are willing to brave a little inclement weather will find periods of milder conditions, which will bring out hatches of Caddis and March Brown mayflies. The fish have really started to key on the Caddisflies in some areas.

The Salmonflies are out in good numbers, as far upstream as Riverside Campground. Unfortunately, the cold and rainy weather has not been particularly conducive to fishing with dry stonefly imitations. Try a dry stonefly imitation trailed by a beadhead nymph or black Rubberlegs. Better success may be had by nymphing with a black Rubberlegs, trailed by a beadhead nymph or caddis pupa.

Please remember that the general season doesn't begin until Saturday May 29th this year. The year-round season on the Warm River to Ashton section of the Henry’s Fork has been extended upstream to Riverside Campground. From Ashton Dam downstream to Vernon Bridge is closed until May 29th. From Vernon Bridge downstream is open year-round.
