I posted this in the Utah forum also..
Arrived Anvil draw and we set up camp (tent, shade, etc...) . Saturday morning after draggin' my butt out of bed and doing the breakast/coffee thangy I aired up the tubes. The weather looked ok so we set out on the tubes pulled by "Tug-me", (my power tube). Within 15 minutes things looked good fishing wise. I'd hooked two smaller mack while probing around in 30' of water but things slowed down a lot as the storm front arrived. By noon the wind had come up and it started to rain so we ducked back to shore for lunch and a pee break.
For the rest of the day we'd slip out on the water between the rain and big blows and we made several playing for a decent doo without success. Sunday started out nice weather wise so we rambled along behind the "tug-me" into open water in search of Kotes, No luck. By 1:30pm the storm showed up again and it blew and rain basically the rest of the day (and most of the night), so it became a skunked day. Monday morning was great weather wise altho it appeared to have snowed in the Sheep Creek from what I could tell. Started out about 40 degrees and by 8:30 we were poking around from the tubes in deeper water and grafting a few doo's scattered in depths between 60' - 90'. We jigged everything we could think of at them without a taker. After a lunch/pee break we spent a couple hours sunnin' ourselves on rocks like big lizzards while picked up the eaters (bow's and pups on mellow and crawlers). We then hit the tubes again at 4pm and spent the rest of the day pokin' jigs for the biggin's until 7pm when we pulled the tent down, deflated the tubes, and started for home.
Sorry guys and gals, no Smallie report. They sorta got over looked this trip.. Whats more, I can't tell you the actual water temp but it was nippy, and the cause of several long pee breaks![laugh]
