The other day I drove by this area and it looked like it might be good for catfish or something. Has anyone fished this area, and is the Jordan river or some other canal...it was pretty wide and full of water....thanks people.

[cool]That's the Jordan River, bro. I've never fished it right there, but it's probably good for Cats. I'm not too fond of that area of town, but there's probably some nice fish right there. Give it a shot!

Well, I will probably try it when the weather warms up again. It seems someone on here called this the Surplus canal....are u sure it's the Jordan river??

I wouldn't mind the trout, catfish and walleye, but I would throw the "crap" you caught back. It isn't good eating.[

[cool]I guess I'm not totally sure about that, but I just thought it was the Jordan. Who knows? It still looks like a nice place that holds catfish though!

If your close to redwood road it is the surplus canal. The canal actually crosses redwood road at 13th south. The Jordan river is further east. The Jordan River runs behind Jordan Park at 9th west and 9th south. Used to fish it behind the International Peace Gardens in the park as a kid. Hope this clears up the two waters.
