My daughter and I fished from 3-7 pm tonight, no bites. Saw a few bigger fish around 15" also saw a bunch of smaller fish 4"-6". They just were not hungry we used worm, ran spinner baits, and rapalas in front of them but they didn't even take a look at the bait, they just were not hungry. Oh well better luck next time.
I was told there was some good fishing by a fire station on Columbia Ave in Provo. I have tried to find this fire station twice now. But cant find it using the directions provided by Yahoo Maps.
Anyone know how to get there?

There is a bridge that spans the Provo River directly southeast of Deseret Industries. Directly to the south of this bridge, a few hundred yards from Columbia Lane, stands a strange, multi-story, concrete building that Provo City firemen use to stage mock fires. The fire station is near this tall concrete building, and they are both fairly close to the Provo River. I don't know how good the fishing is in this stretch, but good luck, and I hope I didn't confuse you.

There are two bridges by DI. One is west of it on Columbia Lane, the other is east of it on State Street. On the Columbia Lane bridge(west) there is a diversion of sorts that creates a backed up pool of water that's about 2 - 3 feet deep. The fishing in this pool is actually very poor unless they have just stocked the river recently with planter rainbows. There is better fishing for browns a ways downstream closer to the freeway. To find the Columbia Lane bridge, just take State Street south down the Provo/Orem Hill. You'll see DI on your right, just south of it is a stoplight (Bulldog Blvd. & State Street). Turn right at the light and you'll drive right over the bridge.
