Ok, I admit it. I'm kind of a smalliea guy. One of my most favorite spots is Flaming Gorge. Not only is it only good fishing, beatiful, but it is great for Sparky to run free and enjoy. A qualifier, I fish from a tube.

Poblem - My buddy (also has a Golden) wants to go for Smallies 3June to the Gorge and it's his most favorite spot too, also is a tube guy. Is it too early what with the cold weather, etc.? Would it best to waite for a week, 2 weeks, what? Any first hand info. or any info. at all would be appreciated! Also, I need to try my Cuda 168 out on my tube!!!!

well i dont have much smallie info for ya,but i do know the wyo state record for s/m was just broken.The man that broke the record was also the old record holder.Both of the fish that he set records on came from the gorge.

[size 2]It looks like your timing is about right. You fishing the swim beach and Linwood bay areas? You might find yourself right in the middle of prespawn/spawning activities. It will depend how they recover from this storm.[/size]

My favorite areas are the Confluence Point in Wyo., Spring Creek, and Ant. Flat Nr. side areas. My buddy likes the Confluence (West side). I've had the most consistent success In Spring Crrek.
