BONITO LAKE Fishing is fair-to-good using spinners, spoons, prop flies,
power bait and corn/salmon egg combinations for trout. Anglers using
corn/egg combos are also catching a few carp.
BOSQUE REDONDO There were no reports from anglers this week.
BOTTOMLESS LAKES Fishing is slow.
BRANTLEY Fishing activity remains very light and fishing is slow for all
species. Boating conditions are good.
GRINDSTONE Fishing is fair using power bait, salmon eggs, corn/salmon egg
combinations, prop flies and bead head nymphs for trout.
LAKE VAN There were no reports from anglers this week.
PECOS Water flow out of Sumner Lake is 103cfs and fishing for all species is
slow. A few small catfish are being taken on worms and liver. In the
Carlsbad area, work continues on repair of early spring flood damage. This
stretch of river was recently stocked with catfish but we had no reports
from anglers this week.
PERCH LAKE There were no reports from anglers this week.
RUIDOSO RIVER Water flow is 3.8cfs. Fishing is slow-to-fair using green rock
worms, small bead head nymphs and worms for trout.
SANTA ROSA LAKE The water is muddy and fishing is slow for all species.
SUMNER LAKE The only reports this week came from anglers fishing from the
bank as strong winds kept boats off the lake. Most of the fish caught were
small bass and the majority of those were taken on crank baits, worms and
minnows.[#ff0000]
