Has anyone fished the Ogden or South Fork lately? Are the stoneflys still on up the canyon? If not any hatches? I may rely on the ole beadhead pheasant tail or PMD's. Any help would be great for the Ogden or South Fork.

Stonefly hatch is over but it is still fishing well your pheasant tails should still work well also use olive scuds. on top mosquito , Paracute adams, extended body pmd and small caddis patterns.

The South Fork of the Ogden is my favorite river to fish. It's such a fun well fishing river. Do you fish it often?

I love to fish the south fork, but lately I have had great success on the odgen down at the mouth of the canyon. Friday I went fishing and had great sucess on a BHFBFT size 18. I also sight casted to a nice 14 inch fat brown that nailed my size 16 PMD. It was a great fight. I have only been moving 150 yards in either direction of my stopping point and just nailing the fish. The 14 incher was over a pound, fat sassy and strong. The south fork is great, but I have more problems up there with fly selections. Any help would be great.

Tol tell you the truth I don't do a lot of fishing up there this time of yeat beacuse of the tubers. Howevrer fall and winter you won't find a better fishing river anywhere in the state. Not to mention the average size I tend to pull out of that river is between 16-19 inches. I've seen much bigger in there as well.
The salmon fly hatch is that last time I hit it. However the caddis in the evenings should be coming off quite strong
So anytime you want to go fish it let me know
