Got to Pelican late Thursday night so we started fishing it Friday morning.We were getting the rafts up when my granson came up from the boat dock with the biggest, I mean biggest gill I have ever seen. He was fishing for bass by the boat dock and this thing took his bass lure. I have pictures but have to get them developed and then I will post them.We got a few bass along the reeds,the gills are on their beds and we would come right up on them and drop a jig and watch them hit it.I probably spent 3 hours on saturday just catching the gills right of the right side of the boat dock. Oh I was surprised to see they put a little boat dock in. It sure made things alot easier.

To make a long story short my son and myself were out in the middle trying for bass and decided to switch to get gills and we drifted over one of their beds and I got a gill that was bigger than the one my grandson got and boy do they put a fight getting them in.My son got some nice sized bass and a bunch of the gills. It was a great weekend and well worth the 3 hour drive.
