[font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][#000000][size 2]Federal biologists estimate 2 million double-crested cormorants inhabit the U.S., mostly breeding in Canada and the Great Lakes, making it the most abundant of six cormorant species in North America. The birds eat mainly fish, up to a pound per day.[/size][/#000000][/font]
