Hello all. The Ogden is being very good to me this year giving up browns left and right. However, I keep hearing about the large browns in the weber and want to try some new waters. I have been in the mouth of weber canyon between Mt. Green and South Ogden, but hear that the middle section by Wanship is artifical flies and lures only. Where can I go in this section? I thought it was all private. Any driving directions would be great as well as open water. Also, what are the best flies. The Ogden likes the BHFBPT and PDM, what about nymphs for the weber and dries? Thanks.

The only part you have to really be carefull with is up river from wanship. Everything from wanship down to Echo is very well marked. I would suggest taking the colevill exit and starting there. If you work your way down stream under the overpass there is a great hole to fish.

Diriving instruction are as follows. Take I-80 east bound until you get to the Park city, evenston exit, take the park city exit (might say salt lake) anyway just keep tot he right. You start going around echo and just follow it. The first exit you come to is the Coleville exit.

If you coming from the salt lake are just head up parley's canyon and keep on that road like you going to Eevenston. Just before you get to Echo you'll see the Coleville exit
