As part of the free fishing weekend , a father and son have been granted permission to hold beaverton's first ever "outdoor days " .

it will be held at ross lake park in beaverton on saturday , i don't know the exact time but i do know that the event is geared twards getting young kids into outdoor activites before the gameboys get a grip on them .

fishing , turkey calling , and some bow and arrow stuff are part of the days planned schedule for the youngsters .

if i'm not working o'll be there .

A-WAY hunting products/outdoor television founded by greg and fred abbas in 1991 and the beaverton business association are sponsoring the day long event that begins at 8 am .

hands on turkey calling begins at 10:30 am , say no to drugs puppet show at 1 pm , free raffle drawing at 2 pm , fishing prises to be awarded at 3pm

all day events include bow shooting instruction for children with equipment provided by top bow archery of gladwin , an on shore casting contest , live deer and falcon exhibits , trout pond , ted nugents kamp for kids hummer and trailer , greg mitchel doing taxidermy , adult 3-d shooting events , midnr information booth , and some concession stands .

admission to the events is a can of food for donation back to the community .

now that's a bargin , not for the event , but to spend time getting your kids interested in a variety of outdoor happinings .see you there !
