Hey there guys,

The sand bass migration is starting in ernest but the crowds have not yet caused fishing to be miserable on the open-party boats.

Go in a week or so here in the LB/Horseshoe Kelp area. Newport is now the hot bass spot and the front of the migration. Victory, Native Sun, City of Long Beach, Premier, and Monte Carlo, Matt Walsh ought to be good boats to try.

I'm headed out to Newport Beach as a start of my fishing weekend. I heard reports of more shark fishing doing well off the Pier. I have a nice enough digital to capture the moment now.
