It was kinda slow today for sure. We had a little fast action to start with, got a 2+ and a 3 9, and Deb lost one at the boat that was a toad, and had one more bust her off. Then a few smaller fish. We ran up to Tomeguns honey hole, and of course he was there so we fished a little bit there, then jetted to the east bank. Got hooked up with a 5lb 4oz beauty about 15 min after we left you guys tommy. First time I didn't have my camera too! Tried a couple more spots with nothing over 1 1/2 lbs. The wind started in earnest around 12:00, and we got out of there. Deb said that a 14 yr old male had his foot amputated by a prop. Cut it clear off. That was why the paramedics and ambulance were on the ramp. Any way, fun day, lots and lots of boats. Nice to see you and your dad TG, thanks for sharing the area with us, we appreciate it! Nails

Well, all this talk about big smallies up there made me take a look back through the toads.

I hit Jordanelle this morning too. I'm to the point that I don't even count the perch anymore. I'm tired of them interfering with my real fishing. I've had a really hard time getting in to some decent smallmouth this year. All I can catch is fish between 1 and 2 pounds. I got there at 630 this morning, and fished until 10. We fished mostly in the Rock Cliff arm, and I caught 5 smallmouth between 1 and 2 pounds. All of them were caught on senkos. I caught several perch while trying to bass fish. My dad caught a mess of perch too, but he was using smaller baits. It wasn't a partciularly fast day. I'd love to go with someone who knows how to get in to the bigger fish up there. Jordanelle is the best. Anyhow, good fishing.
