I'd be pissed too but I would have kicked myself for not locking it somehow, sounds like he just wrapped it in rope. I've learned that lesson the hard way.

I would just be so livid the head security person at each airport would hear from me. I fish could be ripped off, you are right, how do you know someone would not plant a bomb and just walk away. TSA security is a joke.
