I have two Garcia Reels one 5000C that was made in 70s and a new one 6500CL3 and I love them both. They have a great drag and a great brake on them you can set that brake right and cast it way out there and not have a backlash. I have my 6500 on a custom built seven ft St Croix E-glass rod with silicon carbide guides. I use Spiderline Catfish Fusion 30 # works great. I would like to get a Garcia 7000.
