[size 2]PIERRE – The Game, Fish and Parks licensing office is now accepting applications for a third elk drawing. This drawing is for Black Hills archery elk, prairie rifle elk and Black Hills rifle elk licenses that were returned after the first two drawings.[/size]
[size 2]"Anyone applying for one of these tags must apply online via the GFP website," said Scott Simpson, GFP licensing supervisor. "No paper applications will be accepted. A $5 nonrefundable application fee is required to apply. Applications for this drawing will be accepted up to midnight, Monday, Aug. 2 (Central Daylight Time)." Simpson added that preference points do not apply in this drawing. No more than two applicants may submit an application together.[/size]
[size 2]The third drawing is open to anyone who does not already have a tag for any of the 2004 elk seasons. Applicants may submit a separate application for each season. Individuals that have had a tag in prior years may also apply. Applicants that are successful in the third drawing will not lose their eligibility or preference for future seasons.[/size]
