first a big thanks to all that showed things went pretty smooth due to the fact that what i forgot others remembered

i myself had a great time met some new members and talked to some i hadn't seen in a while

even caught some fish 7 or 8 smallmouth a couple at 16" nothing under 12" senkos and spinnerbaits worked for me

big fish went to coldfooter with a 21" rainbow 2nd went to fishinfpro40 with a 17" cutthroat kastmaster also had a nice 17" smallmouth

again thanks to all that attended had a blast

10,000 "thank yous" to you and the chefs for organizing that and rounding up lunch. It was nice to meet members and the fish were cooperative. I wish I could have stayed longer. I had a great time and thanks again.

Hey Chriss I had a great time and I think it turned out to be quite a smooth running ordeal. It was great to finally meet the members that took part today. I have to admit the last time I tried fish tacos I though it would be the last, but, I have to say I enjoyed em.

Also thanks FlyFishingMoose for dragging up the salsa, great stuff! And that Channel Cat jerky wasnt to bad either.

Btw, that bow I tapped on the shoulders is closer to 20". No trophy but what ta heck, it will eat well.
Other than the Bow, I snuck a bite out of a few smallies, larges was 14", and a crap load of Kittie bait, I meant perch.

Thanks to YOU and all the others who put this gathering together and made it a big success. It was good to meet other members of the board and put a face to screen names. Wyper, Wyper Jr., Fishcrazy, and Hustler898 all hit the water after the delicious lunch. I got into some more bass, one pushed 18" and really fat, as Doggonefishin wrote, green 4" Senkos was the ticket for smallies today.

Chris thanks for everything, your event turned out great, the shore lunch could not have been better, thanks to the chief's, and flyfishing moose's top notch salsa's. Jason even like the dirt sala with glass. Met alot of new face's. It was great fishing with Kastmaster he taught Jr. and I a lesson on nelle smallmouth

My wife and I had a great time catching perch and even a couple of smallies. Thanks for setting the party up and cooking a great lunch. We've been to two of these get togethers so far, and we've had fun both times. We're looking forward to the next one.

Let me add my gratitude to the others for the great time on Saturday. I don't know how you filleted those perch so that no bones showed up in the tacos, Chris. That's beyond me! I should have gone over to the cleaning station and watched you.
With Moose's radish salsa, a gourmet fish taco was born. Look out Taco Bell!!

Dang it. Sounds like I really missed out. I took my wife and kids on a church campout to the Rock Canyon campgrounds. We had fun, but no fishing up there.

Kastmaster - Did you take any pix of that big smallie you caught? That's your biggest SMB to date, right? Good job!

I wish I could have stayed longer and met some of you that I have not seen before but my yongest had to be to work at 2:30. I took a guy from work who dosn't fish alot he had a great time, plenty of perch to play with, I think he even caught a smallie. you couldn't have ask for a better day no wind a little overcast and hungry fish.

Hey Chris--thanks for the party. I had a good time. I haven't been to very many events yet so I've met very few of you so far. But hopefully that will change. FFM the salsa was excellant! Alot of people I know that make salsa try to see how hot they can make it. Yours had alot more flavor than heat. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the crawdad fest. Al

thanks alot aquaman this was a fun day on the water failed to catch any bass though but caught tons of perch first time i ever got sick of catching fish. wished i could have stayed longer for the lunch but was with fishnpro40 and his son had to be to work so missed out on the lunch sounded good though.

Thanks Chris for organizing such a fun event, and thanks for those that filleted and cooked the fish, and for flyfishingmoose's salsa! That was a good time, even though I only did land one smallie. Caught plenty of perch, and had a great time! Caught all my fish on "jigs" shall we say, but a few of you will know what kind, and where they came from, just by me not mentioning where I got them from...hee hee! Gotta get into more of those smallies next time, but that was a blast anyway, and good eatin'.

We'll have to have one more tubin' party after Sensai TubeDude gets here, and maybe he can show us a thing or two about getting even more proficient at it.
