Fished the Lake Fork near Lake City tuesday, the dryfly fishing was unparalleled, caught over twenty bows, browns and cutts. Most were in the 14 to 16" range but I did catch a few browns and bows around 20". Don't waste your time on the Rio Grand the fire sediment really hurt that river, killed most of them off, I did manage to catch a few small browns.
Then Yesterday swung the boat over to Sanchez. Caught over 15 pike most were in the 22" to 25" range and two at 27" also caught 5 walleye, 1 of which was over 22" the others were in between 18 and 20". The average size walleye is pretty amazing, whats wierd is I've never caught a walleye under 17" at Sanchez. Also caught two jumbo perch probably the biggest I've ever caught a 13 and 14". I ended up taking my smaller 16" boat and had no trouble launching. The low water has really hurt the fish numbers at this lake, I've caught over 40 northerns a day around this time of year.
