Hello Everyone,
My wife and I along with some fishing buddies hit Starvation res. on July 3 (the week prior to the Starvation Res. Walleye Tournament) for some preliminary fishing. We caught around 52-58 eyes. It was a blast. They ranged from 13-26 inches or so. The livewell in his Ranger Walleye boat was absolutely packed. We saw many of the other competition anglers out there doing their homework as well. We used a wide array of tackle...a drop shot rig with minnow baits, worm harnesses, shad raps and so on. My wife pulled in a huge brown...quite the pretty fish. Another bonus, my little girl caught a few eyes as well and she is only 20 months old. What a blast. The eyes made for some great dinner the next couple of weeks thereafter. The fishing was great and it was an overall great day. Sorry this report is so late. Work has been crazy. Good fishing to you all.
