Tried to hit echo this weekend. Got there and no one was organizing the entire mess that was there. Couldnt find anyone to take my money, parking was all taken up, and there were so many people there it was a cluster.......
So, I fired up the truck and headed out. likley never to return again.
Decided to hit rockport since it is a state park and will be decent.
The wind was blowing pretty good and made boat control real tough. The wind was putting big bends in my line and killing my sensitivity so I decided to troll for trout.
We trolled around with the riggers and caught a ton of fish 20 - 40 feet down. I was suprised to see how few people were on rockport being a holiday weekend.
So, no bass, some nice trout, and one pissed off me.

Sorry to hear about Echo.... They had plenty of help at the gate when I went last week, but the parking and ramp is a cluster mess I agree.... I'm down to going only once a year there. Glad you did well on the trolling @ rockport

I thought Echo was a state park. Funny they didn't have anyone there to check on the peeps. Haven't been for a while, getting a little antsy to wet a line again. Haven't got a topwater fish this year yet, and I am due for sure. Have to see what this week brings. Nails
