It looks like Sparky and I've found another spot for smallies, a lot closer. Sparky got a lot of swimming today. Thanks to Petty4 for introducing me and Predator for suggesting where to go with my tube. Doesn't have the big uns like Jordanell, I don't think, but it's got some good uns. Lost 2 big guys, 1 straightened my hook, the other just got off. After I figured how to fish it, I finally got about 8-10 in the 11-13 in. range. Fished from my tube without the finder.

If you want the location to where he was fishing, theres a map with all the hot spots marked on it.
This map can be found by turning left at the big oak, 100 steps, then right until you reach the big rock. The map is under the rock.

Look, theres no secret to it. Pineview is much like jordanelle, theres fish all over in there. You can catch them in the narrows, you can catch them in south fork, middle fork, and north fork.
The real trick to it is to have the secret lure.
Now theres a map that leads you to the secret lure as well. For directions to that map, see under the location map rock.
But most importantly, if you want to catch smallmouth on any lake in utah, the best tip is to harass tomegun. Hes our resident smallmouth expert. Sometimes all it takes to get into the fish is to gain a little confidence, and just talking smallmouth with guys who do it often can give you that boost of confidence you need to get into the fish. Guys like tomegun, and the nails are amazing rescources to have at your disposal. Actually, I would talk to the nails's wife deb, I think she outfishes him just about every time out.
