Hey rjf, I use live bait or frozen on the big pond depending on what we'er after. Artifical mostly in sweet water. What fish are you trying for? Don't forget to post your catch on the regional board.

Hi there davetclown,

Do you use a harness for those poor little cute, white colored, pink, wiggly-nosed, long whiskered mice?

Are some of your dead baits frozen? We freeze and salt a lot of bait around here. Any of them put in suspended-animation?

Kitchen-sinks don't quality as bait I guess although I saw a gag lure that was a minature kitchen sink with a treble.

mousies are actualy a bee larve'

you can only get them during the dead of winter around here, you dont want them maturing on ya, at least not while you are trying to fish with them.

I would not mind learning a few tips on curing minnows or other baits for future use if ya wouldnt mind sharing a recipy or two.

Excellent choice. It's good to use the natural forage that could accidently end up in the water.

I usually use mosquitoes since there's an abundance of them. Heh, I wish.

Waxworms
Nightcrawlers
Various minnows

That's about it on my side of things.

I would use misquitos but I have yet to find a hook big enough to hold a michigan misquito [pirate]

I know what you mean. Around here, you need to wear a parachute at all times in case one decided to pick you up and fly off with ya.

I usually use nightcrawlers. I have used minnows and shiners when the "mission" requires it. I also have a few types or artificail stuff lying around.

For freshwater, I like to use Crawlers, wax worms, crawdads and meal worms.

For saltwater, I use anchovy, sardine, squid and mackerel.[cool]
