PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota’s archery deer season opens Saturday, Sept. 25, and if archers want to have their archery deer license by that date, state Game, Fish and Parks officials say archers need to submit their application no later than Friday, Aug. 27.
"The archery deer season is quickly approaching," said Scott Simpson, supervisor of the license office in Pierre. "To allow time for processing and return mailing, archery deer paper applications and electronic applications must be submitted no later than Friday, Aug. 27 to guarantee delivery by opening day, Sept 25."
