Sorry for the late report but here goes.

Met up with my family at jordenell on friday and did the sking and tubing thing for awhile and then got to fish around 7:00 that evening,caught alot of perch and smallies on green/pepper jig tiped with perch meat before it got to dark to see.
Saturday,we got on the water at around 6:30 am and had a bass contest going on,we watched these guys work the pionts for awhile with quite a few of them getting some good bass,We took of to my usual spot.On the north end and started to catch some nice perch and smallies in the same area,I switched to a white jig and let it down,bam,I thought I had a huge smallie on and out of the water came a 3 lb rainbow,thru the slimer back,we took of from there and headed back towards camp we seen some more bass fishers on the big piont south of the marina,we stoped and started to fish the area,some of them moved out and we sliped in to see if we could catch a few in the area,and I looked up and there sat Predator and Tom,said hello and started to fish,A little while after that I caught the biggest smallie of the day,whistled at pred and tom to show them the fish and they yelled somthing back at me,but I couldn't hear them,maybe thats a good thing though,[font "Verdana,Arial,Helvetica"][black][size 1][url "http://javascript:%20addTag%28%27:P%27%29"][/url] .after that fish we didn't catch anymore for a bit and decided we should get back to camp.

Sunday,we got a late start and hit the north end for about 4 hrs and my dad caught another nice smallie,and we all caught a bunch more perch and some smaller smallies.got out of there around 3:00PM.

Predator wanted to fish for slimers at Strawberry, did you see the picture of his snag?

One of my club buddies Matt was with me. Except the spot you saw me, we were trying(unsuccessfully) to find fish in new water. All we caught were rats or perch, I started to head over with my digital camera but the wind got real bad.

Its the dawg days of summer at Lake X. You need luck to get the great big ones this time of year. We fished deep and shallow but there is just to much feed this time of year.

Your right Tom,it was tough to get the bigger fish,caught all of are bigger fish on the east shoreline in 20-30ft of water and they where far a few between,we caught 5 fish in the three days that where over 17 inchs,the rest where from 4inchs to 12inchs.
we did alot of lure changing and some did better than others,browns and chartruse seem to catch most though,at the end of the day on sunday my dad tried a drop shot rig with a 4" finesse worm and actually caught alot more bass than perch,the perch would hit it but the bass would actually take it and run with it,we slow trolled that rig in 20 ft of water,I will try the rig again next time I go up.we where verly moving,and he used small split shot instead of the bell sinker on the droper he only lost on sinker in a couple of hours,I lost at least 20 jig heads over the weekend.
