Yo fishermen and fisheresses!

It's been a while since I've been able to log on or fish because I've been totally immersed in school. Summer school to be exact, which isn't my forte because those summer classes are compressed into a tight schedule which leaves me little time, which I must use with my family. I won't repeat the summer school scenario again! I hate the thought of being away from water and fish! But the end is very near for my bachelors degree in behavorial science with emphasis on psychology, with eight classes remaining! I guess the time spent away from fishing is worth it just for 9 weeks of summer, which brings me much closer to my degree. It's interesting to earn 15 credits in 9 weeks, a such short period of time, but it is really time consuming with long classes, and long nights of homework, with work and family to manage all at the same time. It's grueling for sure!

I'm looking forward to being on the water once more this week. Where's the hotspots for bass and walleyes for this week? I gotta go waste my summer, or what's left of it before school starts again for the fall in less than two weeks! I gotta make the best of that short summer vacation. Won't you help a fellow fisherman get off the ground and show me the spots?

Welcome back and congrats on finishing up the summer terms, those do tend to be brutal. Sorry, haven't been out much myself to let you in on the hotspots.

Thanks Umuscud for the thumbs up on my education. I am looking forward to getting that degree out of the way and behind me so I can afford that Cabelas credit card! LOL

Just remember social science professions do not tend to be too lucrative (trust me on this one). Maybe you could sell your soul to Sigmund Freud to get a few extra bucks :-o . . .

Or maybe you could become the first therapist/guide. You know, combine fishing as part of the treatment.

Well, I do not plan on stopping at my bachelors degree, since I plan on being a marriage and family therapist so to do that, I gotta get my masters... what's another two years of education?! I'm 39 years old, and I hope it's never too late to get a great paying job as a therapist for the deaf and the hard of hearing population. There's a great need for one since there isn't one available for the deaf in Utah. I gotta capitalize on this opportunity..., how do they say this, Carpe Diem,
" Seize the day". So it will be grueling two years of school to get that to pay off.

congratulations....sure wish I had had the fortitude to finish college when I went in the 60's, but ..... hey, it was the 60's.

Been there, done the college thing. I know exactly how you feel. Summer school always seemed more condensed. Sounds like your getting close. Hang in there and congrats on the willpower of school over fishing. It'll payoff for ya someday. Lots of hard work and sacrafice though.[Wink]

Nice to hear that you are done with the summer term stuff. They can be brutal. Keep up the hard work, it will pay off in the end, even though the end seems like it will never come. Just think, when you finish your masters, Cabela's will be open! Now there is something to look forward to.

Let's Go!

I am ready bro!

LOL, I could never keep myself focused in the summer. To much to do!!! Fishing, boating and not to mention the scantly clad women in class and walking about outside the class room window [sly].

Undergrad is tough enough but try studying for your graduate degree over the summer!!! Talk about burnout! The MBA program I was completed required summer sessions. You really had no choice unless you felt you can some how alter the course of study. Some required courses were only offered durring the summer or winter break sessions. Just something to look forward to Paul, 4 semesters a year can be a real JOY!!! [Wink].
