The Boat is in the Valley for the weekend (I store it in PC for the summer) and I'm wondering where to go. I would like to get in on the hot action at Willard but I'm afraid my 19' I/O might not make it across the wall. I draw about 16" with the unit in trailer position.

Yuba is an option and I'm sure I can launch but the fishing is probably not to great.

Boy it would be Highly questionable. I was there two weeks ago in a 12' and on the way in I watched Ranger dig its way out Scrapping all the way over the hump. Maybe he made a trench, but I wouldnt bet on it..

We were out there today and had no problem. Some kids in a ski boat could not make it out but all I had to do was lift my outboard and paddle over the low spot. I've got a 16.5 foot Starcraft.

Thanks for the info, my boat would be called a ski boat by many. I guess I'll just have to wait for next year to chase the wipers.
I'll just go to Jordenelle, the ramp is wide, deep and the res is bigger than most. There will be plenty of perch for the little one, they teach a child to feel the bite, but even he would like to get into something bigger.

[black]We launched a 14' jon boat out there yesterday and I saw a few ski and larger fishing boats coming in and going out. Some were dragging bottom even with their outdrives up. It is 1-2 ft deep for about 10-15 yard going out the marina to the main reservior. We had no problems at the launch but the end of the cement is at the water's edge. If you need a little depth to launch, veer to the north side of the ramp. The dredged channel makes it a little deeper there. The dredged channel is about 4-5 deep. The depth transition from the dredged channel to the shallow hump starts about at the buoys.[/black]
