I am stumped.
I just got off the water, and I have no words.
I did however do a "Mike Iconelli" on tomeguns boat, wich was so loud, and so out of control, it attracted anglers from across the lake to the gunships side where they witnessed the weighing and photo session of yet another huge smallmouth bass.
I cant believe this is three huge smallies for me this year. One five pounder, and two over six. One six lbs 2 oz, and the one I got today, six lbs eight ounces.

You guessed it too. I caught it on the maniac custom lure that I had maniac make up specifically for jordanelle. Oh and she works up there like you wouldnt believe.

I had another pig on that got off five feet from the boat after a good hard fight. Cant believe she got off. So much weight and fight to her to loose her so close to the boat.
Tomegun also caught a trout on my custom maniac. I didnt intend for the pattern to be used on trout, but I have no control over what tomegun catches. I guess the maniacs work on trout too.

We had a great day on the water.
One of the coolest things I have ever witnessed happened, but I am going to let tomegun tell you about that.
Amazing.
Now, one thing to remember, if a $500.00 rod and reel combo goes over board, react by grabing it. I think bolth tomegun and I were in shock when he dumped one of those combos over the side of the boat this morning.
We bolth stood there stunned to see $500.00 sinking to the bottom of Lake X.
Luckily Tomegun came to his senses and went in after it. The cork on the handle had kept the butt section floating just long enough for him to reach it. Talk about luck.
Anyways, heres some pics of a couple fish from the trip.
We didnt photo nearly all the fish caught since they werent bragging rights fish, but we did take a couple for the purpose of posting a quality report.
See BLM, I can learn.

Boy, I tell you. We saw it all today. It was cold and dark, sunny and hot, rainy, and there was even two hail storms that were unreal. The hail came down so hard, and so strong you couldnt tell a fish bite from the millions of hail stones hitting your line.
We had to bilge the boat three times from all the rain water that the boat caught.
We did have a gallery on the shore during the first rain storm.
I caught a dink fish, and the crowd went wild. Cheering and hollering for the soaked anglers sticking it out and fishing the nasty stuff.
They didnt cheer for tomegun when he caught his fish. You should have seen it, he was pissed.
I was dieing of laughter.

So much fun, so many fish.
I have to thank tomegun for being such an awesome guide. The man knows his smallies. He keeps putting me on the toads.
I have to thank James B. of maniac lures for creating my dream lure.
MAN, I LOVE THIS SPORT!

Yehaw! Tomegun, be sure to post up about that you know what.
Who would have believed it? Awesome story!
