CANJILON LAKES Fair-to-good trout fishing but light pressure over the past
week. Anglers did well using prop flies, power bait and salmon eggs.

CHARETTE LAKES Good trout fishing reports this past week from anglers using
corn, marshmallows and live grasshoppers. Anglers trolling christmas
tree/worm combinations also caught several rainbows.

CIMARRON RIVER Water flow on Monday below Eagle Nest was 11cfs. Anglers
reported taking a few trout on the river and at the Gravel Pit Lakes. Best
baits were prop flies, small stimulators and small bead head nymphs.

CLAYTON LAKE No limits of walleye reported but several fish in the
six-to-eight pound range were taken on spinner/night crawler rigs. Fishing
for catfish was fair using liver and worms.

COCHITI LAKE Fishing pressure picked up a bit over the holiday weekend with
mixed results. Some anglers did well using jerk baits and plastics for black
bass. A few white bass were taken on minnows and crank baits. Fishing for
catfish was fair using liver and dough bait.

CONCHAS LAKE The south side boat ramp and two ramps in Cove Canyon are open
for launching boats. Fishing was fair using jigs tipped with minnows and
bottom bouncer/night crawler rigs for white bass and walleye. Fishing was
fair using tubes, salt craws, jigs and crank baits for black bass. A few
good size catfish were taken on liver and night crawlers.

COYOTE CREEK Good trout fishing reports came in this past week from anglers
