This summer has posed problems for me. The lakes I fish have been flooded over 1/2 the time and are currently 9 feet over pool.

I have fished when the lakes go down near pool and have had limitted success.

I fish with rod and reel and my opportunities have been reduced by repeated flooding rains.

One of my goals this year was to get a 60+ pound flathead but my biggest was only 49.

I even braved the horrendous boat traffic to get one on Labor Day!

Hopefully the lakes will subside from the 2 recent hurricanes and I can get a little fishing in before cold water shuts them down.

All these flathead were released after weighing and photos to grow, spawn, and hopefully thrill another catman.

It looks like you are still doing good inspite the water situation. I wished we had flatheads out here in my neck of the woods. They sure put up a good fight compared to the channel cats.

Those look like some fun fish to land. we have just the opposite problem here. most of the lakes are 9+ feet below pool. maybe we'll get some moisture this winter.
fyshrmn, you're not kidding. I wish we'd get some real rain. The stuff that hit Austin and surrounding area is needed where the lakes are.

Katfish, those are some gorgeous cats nonetheless. Keep up the great work!
