Went out on the 3/4 day open party boat Premier both 9/21 and 9/22. Good sardines both days. Angler numbers were about 20 each day.
This being the 3rd week of September, we are getting closer and closer to a very late fall and winter type fishing on the near-shore scene.
Almost no barracuda, few calicos and even fewer sand bass. Plenty of bonito, huge mackerel, small halibut, sheephead, whitefish, reds, with lings and sculpin being released.
Everyone got fish to take home but it took a good bit of effort to catch 'em consisitantly.
